This week I'm on Spring Break from the university while my children are still at school.  I've treated myself to a movie marathon.  Here are my movie summaries in haiku:

Moonlight
Boy to teen to man
Searching for self in the world
Finding self at end

La La Land
Girl meets boy at bar
Boy loves girl and girl loves boy
Paths diverge, love lost

Arrival
Linguist learns language
Of aliens on our Earth
She speaks the future

Manchester by the Sea
One mistake is all
That separates life from death
He gets one more chance

Brooklyn
Caught between two worlds
Two homes, two lives, two choices
A heart tug-of-war

Sausage Party
Hot dogs, buns, bagels
Contemplate their existence
Food fornication

Delightful light verse
Reminds me: breathe and enjoy.
Stories still matter.
